Today marks three years since I decided to become Hellenic. It hasn’t been an easy road but it’s been worth it. I found Hellenism several years before, while I was in MA, and I really loved it. This year, however, I’m hoping to work on getting the books that I didn’t have before and continuing my devotion to the gods. That’s my goal as I move on in my practice.

Have a good month.
So this is the next to last one for this month and it’s pretty clear, nothing in excess. This will include a ton of things that we might find ourselves buying a lot of. Watching how people go and buy things that they just don’t need, and then later on lose it, makes me really believe the Greeks had a point with this one. Or Apollon had a point in this one.
Wanting things that you don’t need, or buying a ton of them, might sound great but it’s not. In-fact it can cause you problems.
When the sun goes down it will be the end of the first Athenian month. I do hope that you all had a good one. I honor the goddess Hecate and stay inside while she’s on the wild hunt. Have a good one and be blessed.
Tonight is Athena’s birth, which is a time of great celebration. I really didn’t do much for this holiday, due to the fact that I had to work. So I”m going to burn some incense and call it a day. I have to work tomorrow. I do hope that all those that do a more complex ritual will have a good Athena’s birthday.
So this is the next one and it’s very simple, do a favor for a friend. If your friend asks you for a favor, and you know that you can do it, then do it. Caring about friends is just as important as caring about family. Both are very important in your life.
I was supposed to do this yesterday but I forgot. Yesterday was the beginning of Panathenaia, which is dedicated to Athena and celebrates the day that she was born which takes place on the 21st. I don’t have a photo because I have to go to work. However, I do hope that all of you will have a good one.
So I’m back doing these things, on time, and it’s number 36. I’m not sure what this means but I’ll give it a shot. What I think it means is don’t scream out your religious beliefs to the world and don’t share them with others. Be silent and let the gods speak.
I almost forgot to do this one. Tonight will be Sunoikia, which is the annual sacrifice that the people of Attica did. I don’t know who it was dedicated to, but it was an important one. I hope that you all have a good one.
